Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart monthly draw - terms and conditions

  1. By entering this competition you agree to accept the terms and conditions set out below - please read them carefully.
  2. Each month, one prize winner will be drawn to win: free ceiling and underfloor insulation and its installation through Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart in the property of the winner. If the winner has already installed insulation through Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart (since submitting their details for this competition) the cost may be refunded to the winner.
  3. To enter all you need to do is visit the ENERGYWISE find a provider tool and either complete a) the three steps of the tool to have your details provided to a Service Provider to let them know you are interested in insulating with the government funding offer or b) choose the ‘email me this list' option at step 2 of the tool to receive a list of all the providers in your region.
  4. Entry is open to individuals' aged 18 years or older, living in New Zealand at the date of the draw and able to claim the prize in New Zealand.
  5. Employees and contractors of the following organisations, and their immediate families, are not eligible for the monthly draw:
    • The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA);
    • Employees and immediate family members of Warm up New Zealand: Heat Smart Service Providers and their contractors
    • Ogilvy
  6. Prize winners can transfer the prize to another eligible homeowner living in New Zealand, but at the discretion of EECA.
  7. Entries that are materially incomplete or incorrect will not be accepted.
  8. Each monthly draw opens at 12.01am on the 1st day of each month. Each monthly draw closes at midnight on the final day of each month. To be valid, all entries must be received by the latter time and date. All entries for the monthly draws will be considered in the month received.  Monthly prizes will be drawn on the first Wednesday of the following month.
  9. EECA's decision regarding any issue is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. The monthly prize winner will be notified by telephone and/or email. If an ineligible entry is drawn, or the winners are unable to be contacted by telephone at the telephone number supplied on the entry form or via email within five working days, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize, and a re-draw will take place.
  11. The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  12. Neither EECA nor any other person or party associated with conducting the competition shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in the competition or with the prizes.
  13. The winner agrees to participate in any publicity activities that EECA may reasonably request.
  14. All entrants' personal information will be held by EECA, 44 The Terrace, Wellington. Under the Privacy Act 1993. All individuals have rights of access to, and correction of, their personal information held by EECA. EECA may use personal information collected for purposes relating to the competition or future promotions for future marketing campaigns. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting the entry may result in the entry being treated as ineligible.
  15. The winner has not yet installed insulation or would like to transfer the prize to another eligible homeowner, the insulation must be installed within two months of notification (of the prize winners letter). If the winner fails or refuses to meet this timeframe, he or she will forfeit the prize.
