Guide for preparing a solar water heating feasibility study

Guidelines
8 May 2009

The New Zealand Government is encouraging increased use of renewable energy and is providing support and financial incentives to achieve this aim.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) are promoting the uptake of Solar Water Heating (SWH) systems in commercial applications through a number of incentive schemes.

Applications for assistance as part of these schemes require the submission of a feasibility study to assess whether it would be economic to install a SWH system, with a report submitted outlining the findings.

The results of feasibility studies also provide guidance on the priority of applications.
