The list is updated on a regular basis - please contact EECA's Technical Team on 0800 358 676 for confirmation that the list posted here is the most recent version prior to making any material decisions in respect of any product and/or the programme.
If you are interested in getting a product added to the list please refer to the Quality and Audit Manual on the EECA website.
In this attachment you will see reference to climate zones. New Zealand is divided into three different climate zones based on temperatures common within those areas. These zones help determine the amount of insulation required.
Climate Zone 1
All areas north of, and including, Franklin District. Thames-Coromandel is also part of Climate Zone 1.
Climate Zone 2
All North Island areas not covered by Climate Zones 1 and 3.
Climate Zone 3
All of South Island and North Island Central Plateau (Taupo and Ruapehu Districts, and the northern part of Rangitikei District).
Note: The above is an abbreviated summary of the climate zones set out in the New Zealand Building Code. For the exact definitions, please refer to the Building Code.
